Message from the Conference Chair
It's my pleasure to chair The Learning Ideas Conference. Our 2025 conference, which originated as the International Conference on E-learning in the Workplace (ICELW), is our 18th annual conference overall and the 5th with our current name and focus. I founded the conference in 2008 to bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world.
I have always viewed our conference as a fairly unique conference, in that we bring together researchers and practitioners from such a wide variety of countries and backgrounds. We’re certainly one of the only places I've ever been where I've heard the phrases "cognitive load" and "return on investment," both within the same hour! In our previous conferences, we've had a wonderful mix of researchers, corporate trainers and directors, e-learning consultants, faculty members, game designers, virtual reality experts, artificial intelligence researchers, and others!
The goal of The Learning Ideas Conference is to bring together a diverse group to share ideas, explore innovative work, and reimagine the worlds of education and workplace learning.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at our 2025 conference, to be held online and in New York, from June 11th-13th, 2025, along with (for the first time!) additional online-only conference days in late May.
David Guralnick, Ph.D.
